The oasis valley of Wadi Shab is also known as paradise in the desert it is one of the most famous and beautiful sights of Oman. In this Wadi Shab you see Banana palm plantation, a wonderful iconic lake, rocks, a lot of vegetation and beautiful peaceful birds singing this heavenly luxury valley of Wadi Shab is just a few hours from Muscat, Oman.
In the morning, departing from the seaport, hotel or airport, guests of Muscat expect a fascinating car trip along the Omani coast towards the town of Sur. In 1.5-2 hours we arrive to the parking lot of Wadi Shab. At the very beginning of our hiking tour we take motorboat through a reservoir of clear azure water(2 min). Walk for 30-45 minutes along the canyon, admiring the surrounding nature, along steep cliffs, fruit plantations and pools. Arrival to the final stop where ends the hiking path and begins the path by swimming. The swimming path does not pose any danger, but those who do not want to go to the very end can stay at the «end point» and enjoy swimming in the purest water and sunbathe among the rocks. For those who will continue, on foot and by swimming you can reach the last fairly deep pool in which there is an entrance to a wonderful cave with an amazing waterfall in the rocks. After two hours of pleasure from visiting this paradise, on the way back to Muscat, we will have to visit another, no less beautiful place – the lake Bimmah Sinkhole. Bimmah Sinkhole – according to some data this is the most beautiful sinkhole in the whole world. According to local tales – the star fell from the sky and formed a funnel with dimensions of 50 by 70 meters and a depth of 20 meters.
