Overview
Full Day Guided Istanbul City Tour with Lunch and Entrance Fees Included On this full-day guided tour of Istanbul’s Sultanahmet neighborhood, learn about the Ottoman and Byzantine eras in Turkey. On this tour that takes you through centuries of history, see the top attractions in Istanbul. Admire the Blue Mosque’s beauty, tour the Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans, and browse the Grand Bazaar for some interesting deals. One of the most extraordinary structures in architectural history is this former Christian church from the Golden Age of Byzantium. It was extremely significant during the Byzantine Empire’s existence and later served as a mosque during the Ottoman Empire.
The Greek words “Haqia” and “Sophia” both mean “divine,” and “divine wisdom” is one of the characteristics of Jesus Christ, to whom this church is devoted.
Blue Mosque: A well-known landmark in Istanbul is the Blue Mosque. With six slender minarets, lovely courtyards, and lovely domes, it is very impressive.
Hippodrome and Obelisks: The ancient “Hippodrome,” one of the most well-known places in Byzantium, was located on the square in front of the Blus Mosque.
Grand Bazaar: The center of Istanbul is home to the world’s oldest and largest covered market.

Topkapi Palace: In addition to serving as the Sultan’s and his court’s private residence, Topkapi Palace served as the location of the supreme executive and judicial councils, the divan, and the training school. The court had access to dorms, gardens, libraries, schools, and even mosques. Different imperial societies of artists and craftspeople, which were attached to the palace, produced some of the best work in the entire empire.
The Church of the Saints Sergius and Bacchus, a former Eastern Orthodox church in Constantinople devoted to Saints Sergius and Bacchus, was later converted into a mosque during the Ottoman Empire and is now known as Kucuk Ayasofya Camii. The environment today is a valuable natural cultural center for the extinct Ottoman arts.Note:
