Our vacation begins with a boat ride down to Yalova, where we may enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery.
Drive to Bursa, a historic Ottoman capital built by Bitnynian King Prusias I Cholus “the Lame” (reigned 228-185 BC).
According to legend, the renowned Carthage general Hannibal assisted him in selecting the location.
The city is popularly referred to as “Yeil Bursa” (meaning “Green Bursa”) because to the gorgeous parks and gardens found throughout its urban tissue, as well as the extensive woods of great diversity that stretch in the surrounding region.
The city is synonymous with the Uludag mountain, which stands behind the city centre and is also a popular ski resort.
Bursa’s principal landmarks are the mausoleums of early Ottoman sultans and the various edifices erected throughout the Ottoman period.
A rich museum of archaeology, as well as a rather orderly urban expansion, are other key components that round out Bursa’s overall picture.
After lunch, we will ascend to Uludag Mountain (the legendary Mount Olympos) by cable car (first stage), which is a popular location for winter sports such as skiing, and its richness in flora and fauna has made it a National Park, and summer activities such as trekking and camping are also popular. We will also visit the old Silk Market in the Covered Bazaar.
Return to Istanbul late at night and transport to your hotel.
