Overview

On the guided tour of Medina Azahara you will travel back in time to one of the crucial moments in the history of Al-Andalus. Get to know the “brilliant city”, the dream of the first Caliph of Cordoba, Abderraman III.

Discover the best preserved caliph city in the world, declared World Heritage, in this tour by expert historians and archaeologists.

There are two options for the guided tour: a) hire a bus, which travels daily to the site, or b) go directly to the site in your vehicle (free parking).

In the first option, you will have to show up, previous booking, at the bus stop in front of the Eurostars Palace Hotel. Once you have taken the bus, all you have to do is relax and enjoy yourself, as our guide will be waiting for you as soon as you get off the bus. There you will enjoy a complete guided tour to the site and, afterwards, to the Interpretation Centre, a museum that houses a magnificent collection of pieces taken from the site.
